B2B Account Manager

Position Summary:

Note: This position requires 1 day/week on-site at our Timbuk2 HQ

Timbuk2’s B2B Sales Departments make very special bags for our corporate & wholesale customers.  Whether it is a messenger for a video game launch or backpacks for a conference, we build long term relationships with business to business brands and provide great one of a kind products.  

 

We are seeking a proven sales professional who has the ability to close deals and work with some of our largest, strategic accounts. This individual will be responsible for generating revenue growth and achieving individual, team and organizational revenue and margin targets. They will also be a valuable contributor to the corporate and wholesale sales strategy, leading implementation and driving execution to achieve company objectives. Ideal candidates should possess a solid business-to-business application sales and account management history. This is a full-time position and will report to the Senior Director of Corporate & Wholesale Sales.  

Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key accounts in order to drive incremental revenue growth, which includes Promotional Products Distributors as well as Wholesale distribution accounts 
  • Responsible for managing key accounts with annual sales of 200K+ 
  • Identify and measure new business opportunities for the B2B sales channels 
  • Taking lead in prospecting, vetting interested wholesale distributors, mapping out and executing a profitable    wholesale business strategy with accounts 
  • Manage the sales process and oversee project management of orders and pipeline of future opportunities 
  • Experience with successfully monitoring sales performance to targets on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis 
  • Plan and execute on regional and national trade shows 
  • Maintain an organized account and opportunity portfolio in SalesForce 
  • Collaborate with the Strategic Account Managers on special projects to support bottom line and growth initiatives for the sales channel and the company 

Qualifications, Skills and Education

Required Qualifications: 

  • 4+ years relevant experience in sales, or Account Manager Experience  
  • Experience presenting to clients  
  • Experience with a CRM, preferably Salesforce

  • Strategic thinker with experience building and managing to a sales strategy 
  • Strong presentation skills that will properly showcase Timbuk2’s competitive advantage 
  • Possess a high tolerance for stress mixed with a strong sense of urgency and a healthy dose of detail obsession 
  • Skills to communicate clearly at all levels- verbally, written and face-to-face and exceptionally practiced phone and email skills.
