Receiving Clerk

The primary mission of this role will lead, assist, and coordinate activities of warehouse personnel related to shipping and receiving functions. This generally includes oversight and handling of incoming and outgoing materials and products to ensure accuracy, completeness, quality of shipments, and reporting any shipment or delivery discrepancies to management for timely resolution.

Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

• Inspect items/parts against pack slip, delivery condition, and purchase order.
• Identify, correct and prevent any unsafe action or condition that exists on or around equipment, machines or warehouse area(s).
• Daily review and inspection of all completed Daily Forklift Inspection Checklists. Notify Manager to initiate repairs as needed.
• Verify trailer inspections, glad hand locks, jack stands, chalks are on the trailers when in use and removed before the end of the shift.
• Cycle count warehouse locations and items for inventory accuracy
• Replenish stock parts to pick areas for order processing
• Inspect items against Bin Reports, Work Orders, Inventory Reports, Master Spec, labels/ tags, Bill of Ladings, etc. to ensure customer specifications are met prior to shipment. Must make the necessary corrections and notify the Manager immediately should any discrepancies arise.
• Move material and product safely and accurately with various forklifts (i.e. Stand-up and Sit-Down), including loading pallets onto/out of trailers, containers, and warehouse racking. Inbound items must be scanned and moved to designated rack locations.
• Effectively use ERP system for material tracking and transferring/tracking of finished goods,
• Inspect and accurately receive supplier goods physically/systematically via ERP system. 

Qualifications, Skills and Education

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1+ years of experience in Shipping, Receiving, Logistics, Inventory Management and/or ERP systems.
• Must be able to read, understand and demonstrate all Baseline Quality Procedures, Standard Work Instructions or other related SOPs.
• Working knowledge of operation and minor problem diagnosis of general equipment typically found in warehouse environments.
• Ability to operate a forklift (Stand up-reach & Sit-down)
• Ability to inspect and assess product for basic quality defects.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Forklift certification and/or experience
