Market Research & Customer Insights Analyst

Position Summary:

If you answered “yes” to these, we want you on our team! We’re looking for a Customer Insights Analyst that is a cross between a dynamic communicator and a data deep diver. In this role you will get the chance to partner with a broad spectrum of key stakeholders across the organization including: Product Marketing, Sales, Industrial Design, and Operations to embed customer insights into all facets of organizational planning and execution. 

You will be called upon to lead primary quantitative and qualitative research studies from inception through reporting that focus on industry trends, competitive intelligence, business analytics and voice of the customer to provide holistic analyses that support strategic decision making. You will be a gamechanger for the organization when you synthesize data, translate those findings into actionable insights and collaborate with others to enhance the final customer experience from good to WOW.

Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

  • Ownership of all aspects of quantitative and qualitative research including: methodology selection, questionnaire design, fielding, analysis and reporting.
  • Project owner of in-house focus groups and one on one in-depth interviews; including moderating, transcribing and reporting.
  • Ability to work with limited sample sizes and carefully infer qualitative findings as quantitative-like reporting.
  • Create and provide analyses of industry trends and competitive benchmarking reports.
  • Partner and collaborate with Product Engineering and Industrial Design on new product details.
  • Manage an ongoing panel of subject matter experts who provide input on topics such as: new product development, product enhancements and service improvements.
  • Develop new and manage existing Customer Insights and Product Marketing reporting, including KPIs and dashboards.
  • Assist with vendor selection and vendor management.
  • Support ongoing voice of the customer research.

Qualifications, Skills and Education

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in market research and/or customer insights with a strong background in primary research design and vendor management.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferred discipline in Business, Marketing, Statistics, or Economics

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters of Business Administration or Masters Degree in Marketing or related field
  • Experience with B2B marketing.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience working with multiple sources of data to distill insights with limited oversight.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and organizational skills with history of success preparing and presenting logical reports to senior level audiences and ability to tell effective, succinct stories.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and survey software.
  • Prior experience at a contract furniture manufacturer is a plus.
