Quality Control Receiving Inspector

Position Summary:

The Quality Control Inspector is responsible to verify incoming part meets critical quality specifications using various measuring instruments.  In addition to measuring and recording conformance data, this role is also highly engaged in supplier / production based continuous improvement.

Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

• Verifies all new product parts to  ensure they meet necessary dimensions; documenting non-conformances through SQN's and initiating SCAR process as necessary
• Communicates with Suppliers, SQE’s, Quality Management regarding non-conformances and provides necessary status updates
• Works with production to implement rework or “special” projects
• Disposition and track MRB material, reporting findings to Buyers and SQE's on a regular basis
• Collaborates in continuous improvement projects a requested

Qualifications, Skills and Education

Required Qualifications:

• 2 + yrs using quality measurement tools in a Manufacturing Environment (Calipers, CMM, Spectrophotometer, etc.)
• High School Diploma
• Ability to read prints (2D CAD drawings)

Preferred Qualifications:

• BA/BS Degree
• Project Management Certification
• Root-cause Analysis training
• Bilingual Spanish
