Salary Range: $107,565.00 - $161,348.00
Position Summary:
The Facilities Manager will be responsible for ensuring all facilities operate efficiently by planning and directing building-related services, overseeing the management of services and processes that support the business and ensuring the most suitable working environment for the employees and their activities. The Facilities & Maintenance Manager will be involved in both strategic planning and day-to-day operations, particularly in relation to buildings and premises.
Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
- Management and oversight of all construction projects for multiple facilities
- Develop overall project scopes, budgets and timelines
- Establish, monitor, communicate and maintain project construction schedules
- Prepare all project documents including spreadsheets, contract specifications, RFIs, submittals, etc.
- Selection and management of subcontractors; supervising and coordinating work of contractors
- Proactively identify issues that could lead to problems and facilitate solutions
- Manage costs to ensure project budgets are maintained
- Ensure that all aspects of each project are compliant with all contract terms and legal requirements
- Assess the current condition of electrical, air conditioning, plumbing and other essential facilities and equipment
- Maintain accurate records of condition of the equipment and other systems in the building
- Participate in the development of policies and procedures that affect the use of supplies and facilities
- Ensure that all the equipment and other facilities are working properly
- Develop a system for cleaning, repair and maintenance of facilities
- Create monitoring systems or programs in the institution to detect problems as early as possible; initiate interventions to solve problems; develop back-up or alternative systems for common problems.
- Ensure the safety of the buildings from fire, flood or other hazards
- Maintain the efficiency and good working conditions of the facilities
- Coordinate with upper management on work issues
- Manage and responds to incoming facilities requests in a timely manner
Qualifications, Skills and Education:
Required
- 7+ years of related work experience; prefer recent construction experience in a general contractor capacity or manufacturing environment
- Must have extensive list of subcontractors; ability to quickly pull a team of subcontractors together
- Proven track record for completing projects on-time and on or under budget
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Detail oriented with the drive to follow through on critical, time sensitive tasks
- Experience working with Word, Excel, etc.
- Excellent Project Management skills
Preferred
- Valid California General Contractor License
