Lead, QC Group

Position Summary:

The QC Group Lead is responsible for overseeing a small team of Quality Coaches. This team’s mission is to maintain the high quality standards associated with all SitOnIt Seating™ and IDEON™ brand product lines. Training all Quality Coaches on critical quality points related to each unique product. Additionally, the QC Group Lead will contribute toward building and enforcing internal and external quality standards.

Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

• Performs visual inspection of received materials, sub-assemblies, and units to ensure that all products meet the established reliability and quality specifications.
• Performs reports of dimensional inspections of components using available inspection tools to verify conformance to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Utilizes gages, templates, and other inspection tools to ensure that all products meet the established reliability and quality specifications.
• Ensures that all required process operations have been performed on the product that is being inspected.
• Enters all quality data into the appropriate electronic or manual systems.
• Notify the appropriate personnel if product defects are identified or process yields fall below acceptable levels.
• Provides timely feedback to manufacturing if non-conforming product is identified.
• Accurately completes all administrative activities associated with quality inspection.
• Performs process audits and assists manufacturing with interpreting quality and quality standards.
• Assists with the disposition of all non-conforming materials/products.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications, Skills and Education

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years experience working in Quality or furniture manufacturing
• Strong Communication skills written and verbal
• Fluent in English
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint)
• High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

• Self-motivated
• Ability to operate independently and within a team

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
• Non-temperature controlled factory environment
• Ability to work overtime and travel as needed
